Deborah Lyons invites you to a live virtual wellness retreat on Saturday September 12th through our IGTV.

It's already been a crazily long year for us all - packed full of huge changes and challenges. As the seasons move on and we all head back to the grind, we wanted to give our community the opportunity to wind down, recharge, and switch off. We have put together a full day of IG Lives ranging from a morning mat pilates class, to sound healing, flawless skin in 15 mins, nutrition, and astrology. We hope you enjoy the day as much as we enjoyed planning it for you x

What’s On & What You Will Need 

9-9.40am (BST): Mat Pilates with Alice Macann

What to bring: A yoga mat and a bottle of water.

Before Alice's Pilates class she recommends you have a caffeine-free herbal tea. Try organic hibiscus or rose hip tea. The antioxidants in these teas will do wonders for your skin! The warm water is also fantastic at gently warming and awakening the body.

As the Pilates class will be heavily abdominal focused you may want to hold off on a big meal and instead join Alice in creating a delicious smoothie post-class.

Post-class Smoothie:

Alice love this smoothie. It is full of antioxidants, gut-loving fibres, vitamins and minerals. Alice makes hers super thick and then turn it into a smoothie bowl, topping it with nuts and seeds. You are welcome to do the same, or simply enjoy as a regular smoothie.

Ingredients:

½ frozen banana

Small cube of ginger

1 cup of frozen berries

Plant milk of choice - depending on how thick you want the smoothie depends on how much plant milk you add. Alice keeps hers thick so only adds about 200ml of plant milk

1 Tablespoon of ground Flax Meal

1 Tablespoon of plant protein powder (vanilla flavour goes well)

1 Teaspoon of maca (optional)

Method:

Place all ingredients in a blender and blend until smooth. Alice pours hers into a bowl and top with tiger nuts, hemp seeds and almond butter, however you can add whatever toppings you like.

What to bring: If you have any crystals grab them and some headphones to help hear more clearly. Lay out on yoga mat or on bed - get comfy and to have a glass of water with you for after.

12-12.30pm (BST): Join us for a nutritious plant based lunch with Nama Foods founder Irene Arango as she talks to us about the benefits of seasonal eating and guides us through prep for Nama’s favourite shredded kale salad with pumpkin dressing.

What you'll need:

Kale salad mix -

4 cups shredded kale

1/2 cup very finely diced sun-dried tomatoes

2 cups cucumber noodles

2 cups hulled hemp seeds

*sunflower seeds for after dressing and plating

Kale dressing -

1 1/2 olive oil

1/2 toasted pumpkinseed oil

1/2 coconut sugar

1/2 cup lemon juice

3 tsp garlic powder

1/2 cup apple cider vinegar

2 tsp Himalayan salt

1 pinch of black pepper

*a blender or Vitamix to combine all ingredients until smooth

6-6.20pm (BST) Sound healing using crystal bowls with Laura Rylands

What to bring/ what you'll need: Somewhere comfy to stretch out like your yoga mat and ideally a pair of headphones so you can fully immerse.
